term 2
shadow and reflection
reflection:
Photo 1 of the Shadow and Reflection assignment was taken outside of the SBRHS Dining center. This image includes a reflection outside of the school (the track and football field) and various shadows captured inside under the tables. To create this image, I stood directly outside of the cafeteria and aimed my camera towards the window. The surface of the window then created the reflection of the track that was behind me. This picture was captured using an iPhone camera with HDR setting enabled. In my opinion, the picture is interesting because it is obvious what environment it was taken in, even if someone had never been there before.
The second image of this series was taken in the same environment as the prior photo. On another side of the cafeteria wall includes a section of outside chairs. The metal chairs in this image were reflecting off beams of sunlight and leaving shadows on the ground making for another Shadow and Reflection photo. The strong sunlight (coming from the upper left side of the picture) created these elements of reflection and shadow that was uniform throughout.
Photo 3 of this assignment featured my car. When looking for a final image for this assignment, a car is another perfect model to capture reflection and shadow. Aiming my camera from the backside of the car towards the passenger side window allowed for this effect. The sun is captured in the back window, creating tiny rays that capture the attention of the photo. A dark shadow is scattered throughout this photo. It is directly under the side mirror and also in a small spot under the handle in the foreground.
