Term 1 - Motion
Motion reflections
Out of all of my motion pictures above, this particular photo was taken most recently when my family and I went bowling. This photo was originally going to be deleted, but later came in handy when I looked at it again. The picture is a good example of slow shutter speed. As you can see on the right side of the picture, my sister had just released the bowling ball from her grip. The ball is captured in mid-air as it was just about to hit the runway to the pins. My sister is also in motion in the picture (her arms and leg are blurred) Since the picture was taken with a slow shutter speed, it got the moving subjects as a blur.
The image to the left shows an example of a fast shutter speed. When taken, the camera quickly snapped a shot of the fire and flames without any blur. This is the only photo in my gallery (above) that came out with a fast shutter. This photo was taken with an iPhone, so specific settings that were taken to capture the photo are not known. To get an image with a fast shutter speed, I took about 5-10 shots and picked the best image.
