term 2
multiple exposures
reflection:
For the Multiple Exposures assignment, a series of photos taken of the same person were compiled together to create the illusion of a person in more than one place at a time. Sarah stood in various places in the hallway, while the camera was placed on a tripod. Keeping the camera on a tripod made it easier later on in editing to keep all the pictures uniform throughout to create this final picture. In all, Sarah stood in 6 different locations of the hallway (that was captured in 6 different photos). These photos were then taken into Photoshop. In Photoshop, an additional layer was created and the 'Flatten Image' setting was used. For a total of 6 times, each photo had to be lined up and the Opacity tool was used in order to get an accurate result. This image represents the steps a person goes through in their lives; no matter your age or social class, everyone experiences failure (such as Sarah on the floor). Then, people get up again and keep trying, and aim towards a goal (Sarah gets closer and closer to the foreground of the image).
